Right here, less than an hour from Brampton and Orangeville, at a stadium that is already buzzing with anticipation. This is a once-in-a-generation moment for Canadian soccer fans, and if you have been waiting your entire life to watch a World Cup match live, this summer is your chance.
At Seven Eleven Taxi, we want to make sure you actually get to enjoy it. Because here is the thing:
getting to those games is going to require a plan. A real one. And we have got you covered.

🍁 June 12: The Game You Cannot Miss
June 12 deserves its own paragraph. It will mark the first ever men’s FIFA World Cup match played on Canadian soil, and Canada’s own Men’s National Team will be on the pitch. The energy in Toronto that day is going to be unlike anything this city has seen in a long time, possibly ever. If you have been sitting on the fence about going to a game, this is the one to chase. Check torontofwc26.ca for the latest ticket information and official updates. Get there #WEARECANADA!
🎉 The FIFA Fan Festival: You Do Not Even Need a Match Ticket to Be Part of It
Here is something a lot of people do not realize: even if you cannot get your hands on match tickets, you can still be right in the middle of the World Cup energy all summer long. The official FIFA Fan Festival is running at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway from June 11 right through July 19, with giant screens showing matches, live music and performances, interactive installations, and a rotating showcase of Toronto’s legendary food scene all in one place.
The Fan Festival is expected to draw around 20,000 visitors daily. That is 20,000 people per day, for over a month, in addition to the 45,000-plus fans attending each match.
Whether you are bringing the whole family, heading out with friends, or just want to soak up the atmosphere on your lunch break, the Fan Festival is your ticket to the World Cup experience without the price tag of a match seat.
🚗 The Transportation Reality Check: Read This Before You Even Think About Driving
We are going to be straight with you here, because we think you deserve to know what you are walking into if you decide to drive yourself to any of these events.
The City of Toronto has officially confirmed that there will be zero public parking at or near Toronto Stadium on match days. Not limited parking. Not expensive parking. Zero. The city has also announced that on-street parking along major downtown corridors will be eliminated on all six match days, with enforcement in place to move any vehicles that stop or linger illegally. On top of that, the Jameson Avenue ramp to the westbound Gardiner Expressway is being temporarily closed during the tournament, which will push thousands of additional vehicles into the residential streets of Parkdale and Liberty Village.
Traffic modelling from the City of Toronto projects a 10 to 15 per cent increase in vehicle volume on key downtown roads during the tournament, with the highest congestion expected around the July 2 knockout match. And construction along major corridors will be suspended from May 1 to July 31 to try to manage the flow.
Now consider that Toronto traffic on a perfectly normal Tuesday in June is already a personality test. Adding 300,000 World Cup visitors to that equation, on days when parking does not exist and a major expressway ramp is closed, is not a situation you want to navigate from behind a steering wheel.
The city itself is telling you not to drive. Their official recommendation is transit, cycling, or rideshare. The GO Train from Union Station to Exhibition GO Station is one option, taking about 10 minutes, followed by a short walk. But GO trains will be packed on match days, and getting back to Brampton or Orangeville by transit after a 45,000-person crowd empties onto the same streetcar network is its own adventure.
🚕 The Smart Way In From Brampton and Orangeville
This is where we come in. Seven Eleven Taxi picks you up at your front door in Brampton or Orangeville and drops you as close to the venue as the city’s access permits allow, all without you touching a steering wheel, circling a parking lot that does not exist, or standing on a crowded platform at 11:00 p.m. waiting for a streetcar that is already full.
Here is what your ride with us looks like on match day. Your driver arrives at your home on time, confirmed through our app or booked online in advance. You and your group load up in a comfortable sedan, SUV, or van depending on your party size. You arrive relaxed, on time, and ready for kickoff. After the final whistle, you request your pickup through the app and your driver comes to you. No hunting for your car in a lot that was never there. No waiting 45 minutes for an overloaded streetcar. Just a smooth ride home.
Going with a bigger group? Our Toyota Sienna van seats six and handles luggage easily, making it perfect for a crew of friends or a family outing to the Fan Festival. Want to arrive in style for Canada’s historic June 12 opener? Ask about our Luxury Limousine Service. Because some days deserve more than a standard ride.
Our Brampton service and Orangeville service both cover everything you need for the World Cup summer, and we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so late kickoffs and post-match celebrations are never a problem.
✈️ Hosting International Family or Friends This Summer? We Can Help With That Too
The World Cup has a way of bringing people home. If you have family or friends flying in from Ghana, Germany, Croatia, Senegal, or anywhere else in the world to watch their national teams play in Toronto, your airport transfer situation just became very important.
Our airport transfer service covers Pearson International, Billy Bishop, and Hamilton Airport with professional door-to-door service, flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees, real-time flight monitoring, and the kind of warm welcome your international guests deserve when they land in Canada for the first time. Whether they are staying with you in Brampton or heading to a hotel in Toronto, we will get them there comfortably and on time.
With 300,000 visitors expected in the city this summer, Pearson is going to be busy in a way that makes March Break look quiet. If you are picking up or dropping off international guests during the World Cup window, book your airport ride well in advance to lock in your vehicle and your time slot.
